FTC can't require US lawyers to send privacy notices to clients under GLB

The US Court of Appeals for the DC circuit has held that the Federal Trade Commission overstepped its authority under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act by trying to force lawyers to send privacy notices to clients, as is the requirement for banks and other financial institutions.
