Canadian privacy complainants have faced delays because of the backlog in the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. Notwithstanding that PIPEDA says the Commissioner's findings should be issued within twelve months, it has taken longer in many cases. The Australian Privacy Commissioner is facing similar problems, according to the annual report released recently.
